Anyone who knows anything about me knows I love cartoons! Mickey Mouse, Snoopy, Smurfs, Snorks, X Men, Fat Albert etc. you name it and I've most likely seen it. I'm not sure what the first cartoon was. It might have been Steamboat Willy. What ever that first cartoon was, it's premier was a great day in history of the world. Ren & Stimpy, The Simpsons, Beavis and Butthead, South Park wouldn't have been without that first animation cell, that first drawing. What would toon buffs do on Saturday morning? Disney. All Rights Reserved

Who could forget their first episode of the Simpsons or, the first time you saw Snoopy walk off the pages of the Sunday paper and onto your television screen? That was modern magic if I ever saw it. Would you have remembered what a conjunction was without School House Rock?

The Simpsons debuted April 19, 1987 on the Tracy Ulman Show in the sketch Good Night. The short begins with Homer and Marge tucking, a crude but recognizeable Lisa, Bart and Maggie in for the evening. The first episode of the Simpsons aired on the FOX Network, December , thus ushering in another great chapter in Americana. Recently the viewing public has had a deluge of Prime Time Toons. Below are a few of my faves.

King of the Hill Family Guy South Park Aeon Flux

DR. KATZ Futurama The PJ's Bob & Margret

The Brother's Grunt Stressed Eric Beavis & Butthead Daria

But Hey! We're supposed to be talking about Saturday Morning! Saturday morning is one of my favorite times of the week. When I was little I used to get out of bed at 7:00am. I'd quitely creep into my mother's room and roll our little Sony into my bedroom. I'd back the tv stand in front of my desk and plugged the cord in at the foot of my bed. Next I'd go out into the kitchen for a bowl of Cookie Crisp and a glass of juice. That was life! I'd start off my day with O.G. Readmore and end my cartoon bliss with Soul Train at noon.
